does brawl require SD?

quick question. i have a wii and 2 really old gamecube memory cards (the 59 block ones).what will i need for saved data on brawl? i heard somewhere that id have to buy an sd card. is this the only way?does brawl require SD?

The game data saves to the Wii's internal storage. You can save replays to an SD card if you choose, but it is not a necessity.
