Destineer and Untied Media Bring 'Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine' To Wii%26trade; and DS%26trade; MINNEAPOLIS, MN March 8, 2008 - Following widespread speculation and anticipation, leading software publisher Destineer has today confirmed its partnership with United Media, a leading independent licensing and syndication company, to publish the video game Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine exclusively for the Wii%26trade; system and Nintendo DS%26trade;. Developed by Black Lantern Studios, the game is based on the highly rated Iron Chef America program, a spinoff of the worldwide hit Iron Chef, produced by Fuji Television. Iron Chef America: Supreme Cuisine features the voice and likeness of the show's host, Mark Dacascos, and Destineer will announce the involvement of additional talent from the show shortly. Oh my god I thought this was going to be a joke. There was an Iron Chef game in Japan ages ago for the Saturn, but it was basically just a bunch of video screens and had very little gameplay to it. Sounds like this will actually have some gameplay to it, but I have to say. . . yikes. I'm not expecting much. My guess is it'll be like Cooking Mama with more competition to it. As much as I hate to say it, think I'll pass on it. Then again I don't really like Iron Chef America anyway. Bobby Flay sucks.Iron Chef Wii
If they fix the motion recognition issues and clean up the presentation over Cooking Mama then I'll give it a rental at the very least. Until then, I'll not be holding my breathe.
Destineer? No thanks. They are responsible for publishing Anubis 2, NinjaBread Man, Mini Desktop Racing, and their ilk.Love the show, pass on the game.
