I use the GC controller. I find the Wii-mote nunchuk awkward and the Wiimote itself is bad. I don't have a classic controller.

I have a question about actually playing the game, If I use gamecube or wii analog controller my smash attack using the thumbstick works fine, If I use the wiimote /nunchuck setup with the shake to smash option on and test it, when I shake the wiimote he does his smash attack ok?Well when I play the actual game and shake the wiimote it does absolutly nothing. What is the deal? Ive tried everything.
I didn't even bother trying to learn the new control schemes. I just stuck to the GC controller because everything just works that way. If it's not broken, don't fix it.
Brawl is my first ever Super Smash so I went Classic. Reminds me a lot of a Playstation controller which I really like~
