I surely wont, I dont even know half the songs on the main list.
If they added som ACDC, INXS and ZZ Top to the DLC id sure get it. Just question is how long till it gets to Aus, and then when will it come to Wii?! :(
Nothings confirmed yet so we dont even know if the Wii version will have DLC...
Something that annoys me is by the time it get here on the Xbox, and THEN gets here on the Wii, theyd be making a new RB by then..?! :(
Post some songs youd like to see on the DLC too if you like :)
I would buy the standalone game if they made it available. I HATE HATE HATE the drums in RB. The persistant tip tap of the pads sucks you out of the experience. IMO. Having no DLC just saves money.**POLL** Will you buy ROCK BAND without ...
No MetallicA = no Rock Band for me.
Nope.
Theres some Metallica songs on the DLC section.
I mean whats RB without classics like ACDC and Aerosmith anyway? Rage Against The Machine DLC is a must seriously, Sleep Now In The Fire would be awesome to play :D Id love to have Killin In The Name Of but theres lots of swearing lol :(
The bigger issue we need to know first is...Are we getting the full 360/PS3 experience or the dumbed down PS2 experience?
The thing I like about rock band is the whole co-op play with each person being able to play a different thing. Plus I've always wanted to play drums since I was a kid, but never persued it, so this kinda half-ass fills that fantasy, lol. I go to my friend's house once a week to play drums on his RB for PS3 and it's great fun. I'm very much looking forward to having it for the Wii, even if there is no DLC. What Jazunn brings up is a good point, though... are we getting a PS2 port that is dumbed down compared to the rest? I'm not even familiar with the differneces, actually. Guess I'll go look it up.
really depends on if I can afford it or not
The PlayStation 2 version of Rock Band contains a much more stripped-down version of the Band World Tour mode, as 2-4 local players will only be able to play by completing predetermined tiers of songs ordered by difficulty. Players cannot create their own characters, nor can they choose a city, venue, or a setlist to play

its not like the DLC would be free anyway
its not like the DLC would be free anyway
Of course its not free, they need to make money somehow lol. Id buy a song for around 3 - 5 dollars each i guess. I dont know how much money youd use for certain wii points ive never bought any..?

Gimme anything from Justice or Lightning (my two personal favorite albums)?? Such as the three downloadable songs now available...and I'm in. We have the PS3 version at my band's practice space and I know how amazing the game is and how great those tunes are. If the Wii version doesn't have access to the ''real'' MetallicA songs then like I said: ''No Rock Band for me.''
I wouldn't get it anyways
I will not buy it if there is no dlc.
I have alot of Rock Band experience (playing on my friends PS2), and I love the game. But, just like Guitar Hero III, this game would get old FAST, and not be worth half as much without dlc.
I already made the mistake of getting the wii version of gh III, I wouldn't make the same mistake with an even more expensive game like Rock Band.
DLC is essential in order for me to justify spending $170. It keeps things fresh and interesting, and allows you to cater more to your specific tastes.
